Backyard Ecology

Starting with the clients needs of creating a garden as a habitat we worked with the land and grades as much as possible to stabilize the soil and direct water away from the home. Layering both native and non native species throughout brought in the rich textures of the oak woodland community right outside their back door.

Real stacked stone walls, stained wood decks, walks and a pergola finish the project and further the connection with the earth. The final product being a series of spaces for both human and animals to thrive.
